Annual Thematic Conferences

  • Thematic conference "Communication: let's re-define the terms" was held on March 29-30, 2010 in Bordeaux, France hosted by the University of Bordeaux and supported by the French National Structure. The aim of the conference was to provide a platform to hold a constructive dialogue on communication between people from all disciplines of academia; in other words to develop a healthy inter-communication and intra-communication mechanism between engineers, lawyers, medical doctors, journalists, environmentalists, economists, technologists, policy makers and researchers on the acute issues of communication in the framework of our present world and social system from various perspectives.

  • Erasmus Mundus: Higher Education in Europe and the Dilemma of Brain Drain and Brain Gain in Africa was the title of the conference hosted by the University of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. That country is the most active African country in terms of number of selected Erasmus Mundus students. The conference addressed the phenomenon of education mobility and impact of internationalisation of education on the brain drain at the African continent.

  • Erasmus Mundus Conference – Higher Education and Climate Change was the first large scale EMA event that took place in February 2009 at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary gathering students and graduates of a variety of Erasmus Mundus Courses dealing with the different perspectives on climate change and environment sustainability.
