ENCUENTROS Paris 2012: bringing Chilean researchers together
The central theme of the Encuentros Paris 2012 Conference will be the exploration of alternatives to effectively integrate Chilean scientists and from other nationalities, trained abroad, into the process of economic and social progress in Chile. This subject converges with the analysis of global issues as international mobility and the contribution of knowledge to the development of emerging countries.
The conference takes place in English, lasts for three days, and aims to gather a total of 300 participants, representing the main interest areas of Chilean researchers abroad. This year’s program will include seven sessions covering medical sciences, life sciences, engineering, math, renewable energies, education, communication, economy, public policy and urban studies. Each session will combine expositions from renowned international investigators and young scientists.
During the conference, round-table discussions about relevant topics such as how to combine sciences and business or how to re-integrate and transfer knowledge in your home country after studying and researching in Europe, will take place. In addition, poster presentations with the work of at least 100 young researchers will be interspersed.
