Become the new Coordinator of the Internal Affairs Team and Steering Committee Member
EMA announces a vacancy for the volunteer position of the Coordinator of the Internal Affairs Team and member of the EMA Steering Committee.
The position is offered for the period until the next General Assembly in June 2013.
EXPECTED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Further develop, stimulate and coordinate the Internal Affairs Team, composed of EMA volunteer members spread around the globe
- Manage the EMA Statute by proposing and gathering possible amendments or updates according to the new needs of the organization.
- Advocate new policies for the proper development of the Association.
- Support the Steering Committee in management activities, such as scheduling meetings, writing minutes, following-up discussions, etc.
- Ensure EMA documents are stocked within EMA official records.
- Ensuring IT support in coordination with the technology team for different bodies of EMA.
- Suggest improvements and ideas for the current EMA public website and the members' section
- Liaise with EMA Advisory Boards
- Represent the Association in external events when neccessary
- Attend all EMA large scale events (liaison group meetings, General Assembly) and EMA Steering Committee meetings
- Allocate time of approximately 10 hours per week for the volunteer work, including the online meetings

- Outstanding written and oral proficiency in English
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Team work, planning & delegation skills
- Dedication and motivation to the idea of internationalisation of higher education and Erasmus Mundus
- Intercultural communication skills
- Familiarity with the history of EMA and the structures of the Association
- Presentation skills (in front of small, large and high profile groups, including representing EMA in a professional environment as well as hosting online meetings).
