EMA's Marcela Chavez participates in the NetCu project in Brussels

She was invited to the Flemish Ministry of Education to present EMA’s viewpoint on the problems Erasmus Mundus students face while studying abroad.

Erasmus Mundus is an educational model that has inspired many other mobility programs. The NetCu project, part of the European Union Lifelong Learning program, is a consortium of universities defining aspects on network curricula. Their focus is on how to design Higher Education mobility programs that meet great quality standards.

In the meeting on January 17th 2012, Euromime’s course representative Marcela Chávez highlighted the aspects that should be considered by universities when designing mobility programs such as coaching, teamwork in multidisciplinary groups and multiculturalism.

The result of this project will be a reference point to design and enhance Erasmus Mundus programs from a didactic, administrative and legal point of view. Therefore, EMA’s feedback is of great relevance to NetCu because the experience of its members while doing their Masters’ or Doctoral programs is an important input to the development of similar mobility programs.
