The Conference & Events Advisory Team (CAT) was established during the Erasmus Mundus Student Seminar in June 2006, together with other service teams and the Launch Committee. It is responsible for initiating networking ideas and organising conferences and events for EM students and alumni, under the direction given by the EMA General Assembly and its Steering Committee, in cooperation with other service teams.
Missions of the team are as follows:
Ideas arise from the student and alumni body. If you have good networking ideas and suggestions for conferences to be supported by EMA, please contact the team at conferences(at)em-a.eu.
The CAT is currently undertaking an internal review of all the EMA funded conferences and events organization schemes. The small-scale events funding scheme will be transformed into an EMA Networking Event Funding Scheme, which will serve the interest of EMA members for the organization of various types of conference and events, including small-sized thematic meetings or workshops, and any types of networking events aiming at enhancing the inter-personal linkages between EMA members, as well as regional networking events with a geographical focus.
With this transformation being made, there will be only one EMA Conference and Event Funding Scheme in the future. Any types of conference and event funding application can be made under thes new scheme. The operation of this new arrangement is set to start immediately after the General Assembly in Vilnius, 4-5 June, 2009
