Erasmus Mundus Conference: Call for Applications

Call for applications is now open for the Erasmus Mundus Thematic Conference organized by the Conferences and Events Team of EMA in cooperation with the French National Structure, University of Bordeaux, France and DG for Culture and Education of the European Commission

"Communication: let's re-define the terms" is the theme of the Erasmus Mundus Thematic Conference held on March 29-30, 2010 in Bordeaux, France. The aim of the conference is to provide a platform to hold a constructive dialogue on communication between people from all disciplines of academia; in other words to develop a healthy inter-communication and intra-communication mechanism between engineers, lawyers, medical doctors, journalists, environmentalists, economists, technologists, policy makers and researchers on the acute issues of communication in the framework of our present world and social system from various perspectives:

· International relations, inter-cultural development and politics

· Rigorous research and culture

· Lack of communication leading to financial turmoil

· Information & communication technology and innovation

· Green and political communication

The conference is hosted by the University of Bordeaux - one of the oldest and biggest institutions in France with multi-campus infrastructure and facilities for education and research on numerous disciplines of academia. The conference  has also received support from the French National Structure - the national institute of France, whose goals are to promote education in France and Europe and to cooperate with other associations to work for the welfare of education and culture. This is the first time that an EMA Conference is being co-sponsored by such a prestigious university and a national agency and will hopefully lead to the continuation of cooperation with other institutions with mutual interests.

Conference participants will have an opportunity to attend the presentations of renowned international keynote speakers and to present their own research, projects and personal views on issues discussed in parallel workshops.

Interested prospective applicants are recommended to take a look at the Preliminary Conference Programme and submit the Application Form to application AT em-a.eu until January 24th, 2010 (13:00 CET).

With additional questions, please contact the conference organizers at thematic.conference AT em-a.eu.
