EarthCorps (http://www.earthcorps.org/index.php) is a well known non-profit organization that brings together hundreds of thousands of volunteers who are eager to engage in environmental projects. While the focus is on local community projects to maintain or restore healthy environments, EarthCorps cooperates with hundreds of governmental and non-governmental institutions and clubs on six continents. One of their aims is to build a global community by common interest, aiming at global leadership through the committment of young volunteers from all over the world.
