EMA was at Norway House in Brussels on December 7th. Rajon Bhuiyan, Director of the Outreach and Capacity Building Unit, represented EMA. The event was called
"Leveraging International Student Mobility for Societal Transformations and Economic Growth."
The one-day event was organised by the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), DAAD German Academic Exchange Service, The Directorate for Higher Education and Skills, the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, VLUHR, and Nuffic. It brought together diverse perspectives to explore national policies, initiatives, and debates, shedding light on how mobility can fuel socioeconomic transformations and economic growth across Europe. Mr Bhuiyan participated as a panellist in the second panel, "International Degree Mobility – Multiple Impacts and National Perspectives". The engaging discussion delved into the multifaceted impacts of international degree mobility.
Other panellists included: Michal Fedak, Director, SAIA n.o., Slovakia; Frederik D’hulster, President of Education and International Affairs, Howest University of Applied Sciences, Belgium; Filip Van Depoele, Directorate-General Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, European Commission; and Kristin Pütz-Kurth, Senior Desk Officer Online Communication "Study in Germany," German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Germany. The moderator was Lene Baldersheim, Senior Adviser, Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir), Norway.
