A webinar named “Information Session on Erasmus Mundus Scholarship” was organised by the Centre for Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS), in collaboration with Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) Nepal on Saturday, 26th November 2022. This webinar was organised by Dr. Babita Paudel through “Humboldt Alumni Award for Networking of Female researchers of Nepal.” The major objective of the webinar was the capacity building of female researchers in STEM in Nepal. However, participants of all genders were entertained by a wider reach and networking.
The webinar started at 7:00 pm and lasted until around 8:30 pm with approximately 70 participants in total. The program was moderated by Dr. Paudel along with Ms. Rumi Singh Maharjan. Mr. Nirajan Khadka, Country Representative of the EMA and Dr. Bhawana Khakurel, an Erasmus alumnus, were the resource persons. The webinar was started by Dr. Paudel with the program highlights, followed by Mr. Khadka giving an overview of Erasmus+ program and Erasmus Mundus scholarships. Then, Dr. Khakurel presented the details of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s program with a major focus on the application process, while also sharing her Erasmus experience.
There was a question-answer session followed by a photo session with all the participants. These were asked to put up their queries in the chat box at the start of the program. Moderator Ms. Maharjan collected and put forward the questions to the respective speakers to obtain relevant answers. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident from their active participation in the Q&A session, after which the program came to an end with the closing remarks delivered by Er. Ravi Khanal, Secretary of Nepal German Academic Association (NEGAAS).
In this way, the webinar aimed at providing insights regarding the Erasmus Mundus Scholarships to prospective students was effectively and successfully conducted.
