Paris, France – May 15, 2025

The Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) [www.em-a.eu] and 10Billion [www.10billion.org] have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation and explore joint initiatives leveraging combined expertise in the following thematic areas:

  • Peacebuilding: Facilitating dialogue between members from communities that would otherwise not interact.

  • Capacity Building: Upskilling and empowering youth, particularly EMA members, through targeted programs.

  • Longtermism: Exploring future scenarios and strategies to create meaningful, sustainable impact in communities.

The signing took place on the 15th of May, 2025 during the Erasmus Mundus Annual Conference and General Assembly in Paris, France, underscoring our shared commitment to strengthening collaboration across regions.

Representing the organizations at the signing ceremony were:

  • Joel Christoph, Founder and Executive Director, 10 Billion

  • Dr. Collins Santhanasamy, Board Member & Director, Partnership Development Unit, Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA)

This MoU highlights a joint effort to foster international collaboration and knowledge exchange across the globe. The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation on various activities, including sharing of network resources, invitations to engagement events, participation at national and local events as well as the exploration of further grant activities such as organizing joint in-person, virtual workshops and research activities.

This milestone reflects the dedication of both networks in enhancing opportunities for students with the support of Erasmus Mundus alumni worldwide, ensuring that our communities continue to thrive as influential networks of young professionals and changemakers.

This is fantastic news! I'm especially excited about the peacebuilding aspect. My Erasmus experience was transformative, not just academically, but in exposing me to different perspectives and building bridges. Speaking of building bridges, I've even found myself connecting with people over unexpected things like shared interests in quirky online games! If you need a break from serious discussions, maybe try Drift Hunters – it's surprisingly relaxing and a fun distraction. It's great to see EMA and 10Billion collaborating for such important goals.

There’s something oddly emotional about Retro Bowl. After a few seasons, you get attached to your players, celebrate victories, and feel the sting of a last-minute loss. It’s a game with heart — wrapped in pixels and football plays.
