On 26 July 2025, the Erasmus Mundus Students & Alumni Association (EMA AISBL) Bosnia and Herzegovina proudly hosted its second Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) for the newly selected Erasmus Mundus scholarship holders from BiH.

The event began with a short icebreaker session, allowing participants to share where they are currently living in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This created a warm atmosphere for networking and connection among the future Erasmus Mundus students.

Afterwards, the agenda of the day was presented. The participants were introduced to Erasmus Mundus and its rich legacy, followed by a presentation from Adaleta Omerbašić, EMA Country Representative (CR) BiH who spoke about Erasmus associations, including the Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) and its global network. Next, Enida Fatić, a member of the local BiH team, shared her personal Erasmus Mundus journey and offered helpful tips about life in the EU. Following that, Ajla Vrebo took the floor to discuss visa processes and other key preparations for the Erasmus Mundus adventure.

The session wrapped up with practical advice on visas, internships, and opportunities available for Erasmus Mundus students, before concluding with an open Q&A session, where participants could ask their remaining questions. While this year’s event was initially envisioned to be held in person, due to logistical challenges and venue availability, it was conducted online.

We hope that next year, the PDO will finally take place in person, bringing together students and alumni face-to-face for an even richer experience!
