EMA at the Annual General Forum of ASAF

EMA's Communications and IT director (ad interim), Jane Nduta Wambura, had the opportunity to represent the Erasmus Mundus Association at the Annual General Forum of the African Students and Alumni Forum (ASAF) in Nairobi Kenya, from the 1st to the 4th of June.

During the event, Jane voiced the experiences, aspirations, and achievements of countless individuals who have experienced the transformative power of the Erasmus Mundus program. She highlighted the various programs that the association has been involved in as well as the structure of EMA. This was pivotal in helping ASAF members learn how EMA functions and how they could grow as a strong Alumni organization.

Jane posed thought-provoking ideas on how EMA can collaborate with ASAF in future projects to elevate the plight of Erasmus in the African continent. At the same time, she met with Kenyan Erasmus Alumni alongside the European Union in Kenya Ambassador and other EU delegates in Kenya for a luncheon to talk about Erasmus Alumni in Kenya, in her capacity as the Kenya Country Representative for EMA. The discussion revolved around strengthening the Kenyan Alumni and how they can be more involved in various projects alongside the Kenya EUD. Jane is highly motivated to continue championing the cause of global education and fostering a brighter future for generations to come.
