OCB Success Stories - May 2023

EMA Alumni supports Europe Day Celebrations in Ghana

EMA aims to foster partnership and outreach with various stakeholders and often participates in events that align with its vision. One such event was celebrating "65 years of EU-Ghana partnership", this year's theme for Europe Day in Ghana.

Several other events were held in collaboration with partners in the days leading up to the main event. The EU Delegation joined forces with the Ghana Journalist Association, UNESCO and the UN to mark World Press Freedom Day on May 4th, which is relevant to many EMA alumni who work as journalists around the world. On May 5th, the EU organized a forum for the Erasmus+ scholarship alumni and the higher education stakeholders, highlighting the importance of quality education for youth development and building a prosperous future for Europe and Africa.

The Europe Day event was a grand occasion that brought together diplomats, government officials, EMA alumni, NGOs, industry leaders, civil society groups and other stakeholders, creating an opportunity for cross-cultural dialogue between Europe and Ghana.
