In October, the Erasmus Mundus Students & Alumni Association (EMA AISBL) joined forces with the OCEANS Network, ESAA, and ImpulsEurope in Barcelona for a vibrant evening of collaboration, storytelling, and vision-building.

Representing EMA, Hasanka Madubashetha, Project Support Coordinator from EMA's Project Support Unit, contributed to dynamic discussions on how Erasmus+ experiences; especially the Erasmus Mundus Joint master’s degree (EMJMD) programs can evolve into long-term cooperation frameworks and inclusive opportunities for all young people. The Director of the international relations of the University of Barcelona in Spain was also present at the occasion of these discussions. The reflections centered around the powerful theme: “Once Erasmus-Always Erasmus.”

Together, we explored new pathways to strengthen alumni networks, foster global engagement, and ensure that no young person is left behind in accessing international mobility and transformative learning opportunities.

Events like this remind us that Erasmus+ is far more than an exchange program. It is a lifelong community, a movement of changemakers, and a testament to how shared experiences can build bridges across cultures and shape a more connected, inclusive world.
