EMA Country Representative Network

The Country Representative Network (CRN) is an initiative launched by the Steering Committee which aims to select motivated EMA members across the globe to represent EMA in their respective countries. The program was launched through a call in February 2008.

Some of the major goals of the initiative include:

  • Networking with companies and universities in your home country to promote Erasmus Mundus
  • Assisting students and potential students from your home country you’re your experience gained as a EM student
  • Assisting in provision of content for the EMA website

The program was very well supported by the EMA community and we received over 320 applications from 80 countries. We would like to thank all applicants for their enthusiasm and interest in the program.

Results

70 Country Representatives from 44 countries have been selected, out of which there are 38 students and 32 alumni.  A maximum number of two CRs were selected from each country, except for China, and India for which we have allocated 5 CRs. Also to ensure diversity no two CRs for a country have been selected from the same EMMC. Although we had very motivated and qualified applicants from most of the countries, some of the countries are currently either un-represented or under-represented due to the lack of well qualified applications. We will be looking into possibilities of launching a second call for such countries at a later stage.

Selected Country Representatives

All selected CRs will be contacted shortly. It should however be noted that we have been unable to fully process a few of the selected applications due to the lack of some required personal details. The selection of these applicants is pending provision of further details to ensure conformity to the selection criteria.  We request all such representatives to forward their full legal name along with their EMMC (name of the EM master course) to vice.president(at)em-a.eu.
